Course Overview

The A36 Lorry Loader course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based learning and practical training.

Course Structure

• Undertake all pre-start, running checks and shutdown procedures
• Stability factors
• Configure for travel (site and highway)
• Configure and set for lifting duties
• Place material onto transporting vehicles
• Lifting requirements and lifting exercise
• Explain loading/unloading procedures for transportation of loads
• Place machine out of service

Course Duration

The level of course required will be determined upon application and confirmation of an individual’s experience.

Course Completion

Successful candidates will receive a CPCS Red Trained Operators card which is valid for two years.

Please note – candidates who have held a red trained operator’s card previously must advise upon booking as additional requirements may be requested by CPCS in order to regain this licence type.

Upgrade/Renewing your CPCS red Trained Operators Card

Candidates are required to complete the appropriate competency NVQ prior to your cards expiry in order to upgrade/renew the red trained operator’s licence.

We recommend you look to upgrade/renew your Trained Operator licence 4 months before your licence is due to expire.
