Pre-course Requirements

CSCS affiliated NPORS Trained Operators licence - Delegates must have passed the appropriate HS&E test within the last two years prior to completing this course if they wish to obtain the CSCS affiliated Trained Operators licence

NPORS traditional licence – No pre requisites required

Course Overview

This Plant Machinery Marshall N133 NPORS certification delivers the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding to communicate and guide plant machinery safely and effectively. It is for plant operators who require practical and theory-based training and assessment to direct or position plant machinery as part of their daily duties on-site.

Course Structure

• Correctly prepare the Plant machinery for travel
• Guide the Plant vehicle using hand signals and a radio communication 
• Walk the test course and identify to the vehicle operator the designated safe zones and any proximity hazards
• Correctly prepare the Plant vehicle for travel
• Guide the Plant vehicle in a reverse direction into a confined area using radio communications. 
• Guide the Plant vehicle from the confined area through a chicane applying the full steering range in a forward direction using both hand signals returning to the start position
• Carry out an emergency stop 
• Guide the Plant vehicle up to a structure using hand signals 

Novice Course Cost

• £250+ vat plus £30 NPORS Card fee

Course Duration

The level of course required will be determined upon application and confirmation of an individual’s experience.

• Midland Plant Training and Testing, Brownhills, WS8 7DL
• NPORS training can also take place at our clients site provided the appropriate machinery is available for training/testing

Course Completion

Successful candidates will receive a the appropriate NPORS licence card requested.
