CITB Health, safety and environment (HS&E) test Operative
CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Tests, Midland Plant Training and Testing Ltd are a fully accredited CITB test centre and can therefore provide the HS&E testing required to obtain/renew CSCS and CPCS Cards.
Whether you're applying for a new CSCS card, renewing your existing card, or progressing your career in the construction industry, our modern test centre provides a professional, convenient environment with flexible booking options and friendly support throughout the process.
Operative Test
The Operative HS&E Test is the most commonly taken CITB test and is required for the majority of construction workers applying for a Labourer or Skilled Worker CSCS Card. It assesses your knowledge of general health, safety and environmental practices expected on construction sites.
Candidates under the age of 16 must have consent from a parent or guardian and be accompanied to the test centre by an appropriate adult, such as a parent, guardian, carer, teacher, tutor or employer. Failure to meet either requirement will result in the candidate being refused entry to the test, and the test fee will be forfeited.
Book your CITB Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test at Midland Plant Training & Testing Ltd. We offer the full range of CITB HS&E tests, including Operative, Specialist (such as Working at Height, Demolition, Highway Works and other specialist occupations), Supervisory, and Managers & Professionals tests.
You can use the CSCS card finder (External link - Opens in a new tab or window) to check which HS&E test you need.
